BOD is a kind of environmental polluon index, which is mainly used to determine the polluon status of organic maer in water it can also be used as a basis to evaluate the operaon efficiency of sewage treatment plant, ETP, so as to find the right treatment method. The method is based on pressure measurement in a closed system: micro organisms in the sample consume the oxygen and librate CO2, which is absorbed by KOH, creang a vaccum which can be read directly in mg/l by BOD Sensor which is absorbed by NaOH, creang a vacuum, which can be read directly as a measured value in mg/l by BOD Sensor
