The method is based on pressure measurement in a closed system: micro organisms in the sample consume the oxygen and librate CO2, which is absorbed by KOH, creang a vaccum which can be read directly in mg/l by BOD Sensor which is absorbed by NaOH, creang a vacuum, which can be read directly as a measured value in mg/l by BOD Sensor
